The change of night from the regular Saturday night to Thursday night did not fool the weather gods who conspired once again to bring the rain in and ruin another night at the Speedway in Adelaide.
Some rain was forecast between 3pm and 6pm but it was not expected to cause any disruption to the meeting scheduled at Gillman, and that’s how it was going until a heavier fall around 6pm. By the scheduled start time of 7pm it was clear, blue skies but the damage had been done and there was too much water on the track for the meeting to go ahead.
So the Gillman Solo Championship is off for 24 hours and will now take place on Friday night (29 December) at 7pm. The weather forecast is for a mostly sunny day with a maximum of 25.
An updated line-up will be posted on the Gillman Speedway website as soon as any possible changes are confirmed.
