Great Britain’s Tom Brennan joins rider line-up for the Ikon Suspension International Speedway Masters
Power Production Media Release 23 August 2024
Great Britain’s international star Tom Brennan is the latest rider confirmed as a definite starter in the Ikon Suspension International Speedway Masters on December 28 at Gillman Speedway.
The twenty three year old, born in Swindon, England, becomes the second English rider confirmed to contest the prestigious Leigh Adams Medal, on night two of the ISM24. His compatriot, Sam Hagon, was announced in the rider line-up several weeks ago.
Brennan, a former British Under 21 Champion and FIM Gold Medallist, as a part of the British Team that claimed victory in the 2021 Speedway of Nations, is a welcome addition to the crack field being assembled for the biggest solo event on the Australian speedway calendar this summer.
Tom was also an integral part of the British Team that annexed the silver medal at the 2023 FIM Speedway World Team Cup. In 2024, Brennan is busy with league racing contracts in England, Poland and Sweden.
Meanwhile, the Englishman was rewarded for his stellar form in 2024, gaining a starting berth in last weekend’s British Grand Prix, staged at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
“Tom is a very solid rider with plenty of international racing experience, at the sport’s highest level,” said ISM24 organiser David Tapp.
“We’re thrilled to have Tom in the field and I’d like to acknowledge Ryan Sedgmen and his colleagues from the Mildura Motorcycle Club, for their efforts in helping bring Tom to Australia.
“I am working closely with Sedgy (Ryan) in luring foreign stars to Australia this summer and he’s been a pleasure to deal with.”
In addition to riding in the Ikon International Speedway Masters at Gillman, Tom Brennan, is taking part in the Phil Crump Solo Classic, at Olympic Park Speedway, Mildura, on December 29, the night following the ISM24.
